9RMz Learning about S.O.L.O

In S.o.s we were working on S.O.L.O-(structure of observed learning outcomes)
There were 5 levels of S.O.L.O, The first one is Prestructural-I don't understand I need help. The second one was Unistructural-I CAN identify label follow simple instructions. Multistructural-I CAN describe calculate list combine. Relational-I CAN explain solve, compare, analyse and relate questions. And Finally the last one is Extended Abstract-I CAN create, predict, reflect, imagine, evaluate and generalise.
We use solo to talk about "Leadership". Here is my Extended Abstract. CLICK.
Our Teacher Made up this thing called "Slogging"
Which means S.O.L.O Blogging.

The country that i was researching was Fiji. I learnt about why they had to leave Fiji and why people go to Fiji. I had to research about their traditions, what their cultural dances and their food. I learned about the push and pull reasons for New Zealand and Fiji.

From Tokelau To New Zealand

From Tokelau to New Zealand
Write a summary explaining reasons why Tokelauans moved to New Zealand.

What was life like for the Tokelauans?

1.Choose 20 important words from the text

Ko te au o mātua,Ko fānau,Parents, heart,Children,Generation, Opportunities,Government,New Zealand,Consequences,People,Migrate,Education,Domestics,Hospitals,Families,Scholarships,Study,Culture,tradition.

2.  Now choose the 6 MOST important words

Parents,heart,Children,Families,Study, Scholarships.
3.  Now use those six words to sum up the text in a couple of sentences
My parents look after me better than anyone in this entire earth. Their heart is so kind to look that they look after me. All people around the world have Families. In school i’m gonna study as hard as I can to get a scholarship to a university. This is what life could be like for tokelauan children if they migrated/lived in New zealand.

Sitting My Exams.

In the beginning of the exams I was a bit nervous but i think i did pretty good in some of the exams. It was pretty cool for my first college exam.

Sitting the exams for me was a big challenge because the question in the exams were hard. I was a little bit prepare but not that much cause I started school pretty late. I think I did well in English, Social studies and a bit on maths.
I was in  the middle of exams answering the questions and some were easy and some were hard. But I just kept on going and being positive that I might get these questions right.

And I know I didn’t do well in science and a bit of maths.
I could of listened more and I could of came to school at the start of the term. I would listen better, ask questions more and come to school at the start of the term.

At the end of exams I was still a little bit nervous because I was thinking of what my score would be and the class I might go to in year 10.
